Get in Tune with Your Future
Our next programme of events to get involved with begins in August and will be called Get in Tune with Your Future, you can see below the schedule and a short summary of how it can help you, and you can get your name down to join us soon!
Finding your why (ft. Ethos Young Leaders)
In a session led by Ethos Young Leaders, Young People will be introduced to the importance of finding out what drives them and what their main motivations are.
Through this, young people will discover some unexpected strengths and thoughts about themselves that will put them on the right track to ‘finding their why’ and to take the first steps to understand that they have permission and can think differently by putting themselves at the center of their decisions.
Knowing how to ‘find your why,’ and why it’s so important to do so, is a useful skill which can help guide you throughout your life. From helping you to find work that aligns with your values, to guiding future career paths, ‘finding your why’ is a great way to help you reflect on the things that are most important and make sensible decisions. The workshop will involve personal stories of how our young leaders found their why, activities and an open discussion at the end.
Brand it (ft. Ethos Young Leaders)
Did you know that 70% of employers check out their candidates’ online presence before interviewing or hiring?
Often, when we look for advice to get a job many of the answers we receive is to work on our CV or cover letter, and whilst this is great, having no online presence or negative presence can be the difference between getting an invite or not.
This is where personal branding comes in! It can be your chance to control what future employers see, bring your authentic self into the world and showcase your skills and let employers quickly figure out whether you would be a good fit for the organisation.
Interviews, applications and mental health (ft. Ethos Young Leaders)
The aim of this workshop is to guide you through the process of applying for a job, whether online or in person. From CVs to interviews, to finally being accepted, the route to finding a job can take a lot of time and effort. Finding a job can also come with challenges, but it’s important to approach these things in a way that is right for you, taking into account your own mental wellbeing, and bearing in mind that with each challenge is an opportunity for growth.
Work life (ft. Ethos Young Leaders)
There are a lot of factors that can affect your wellbeing on a daily basis, and they are always present even when we are at work. This workshop will cover; keeping a healthy work/life balance, managing stress and anxiety, working with others and workplace behavior, and knowing when your ‘why’ changes, and managing this at work.
