You are able to register for as many of these sessions as you like and we would encourage you to take this unique opportunity to assess the options made available.

Mastering My Future is an employability programme for young people 14-25. With the support of Young Westminster Foundation, 2-3 Degrees alongside our partners, Westminster Befriend a Family and Inspire, have created a programme that offers:

  • Industry themed workshops – develop knowledge and insight to give you clarity about opportunities.
  • Mentoring – opportunity to be mentored by leading professionals from various industries for 6 months!
  • Virtual work experience -be offered a virtual work experience with one of the employer partners on the programme

2020 took us by surprise and 2021 has felt a little weird, we have all felt it. We want to help you find your way back; To your passions, your goals, your business ideas and most importantly, to yourself.

We at Youth Network believe that every young person has the potential to achieve great things. We have developed Young Leaders, a program to equip students with the knowledge, understanding, and skills they need to match their ambition and develop their leadership potential for positive change in Luton.
 
Young Leaders will help participants aged 16-19 years of age, in Years 11 – 13 to: 

  • Learn about great leaders, past and present;
  • Research and understand the local context 
  • Development and build their personal character and ideas
  • Deliver an action plan for change

Luton is a town with high socio-economic deprivation which impacts our diverse young population. Framed with the problems that Covid-19 has brought, we know that life is tough right now. Our Young Leaders program will help young people develop essential skills needed for personal development and link it to positive change, including employment.

Stonewall – LGBTQ+ Youth Focus Group

Stonewall is developing a new project to support LGBTQ+ young people not in education, training or work. We’re creating a website specifically for this target audience, and we want it to be shaped and developed with as much input from this group of young people as possible. 

We’re looking for LGBTQ+ young people aged 16-24 to join focus groups and help shape Stonewall’s work. The focus groups will all be online, and we’ll be asking for input on areas such as the name of the website, the key tools and functions, and the content. It’s important that LGBTQ+ young people who are not in education, training or work, or who have experience of not being in education, training or work, can tell us what would work best for them.

You will develop specific skills in digital marketing and communication, as well as a number of skills that will help you with your own future aspirations. You will also have the opportunity to meet a wide- range of professionals and employers and you will be supported by one of our team to develop your CV to include your new skills and learning from your involvement in amplifi.
