The Outward Bound Annington Challenge
The Annington Challenge is an initiative run in conjunction with the Outward Bound Trust that offers young people aged 11-19, whose parent(s) are serving in the Armed Forces, regardless of their parent’s rank, the opportunity to experience their very own Outward Bound summer camp adventure at one of Outward Bound’s locations in the Lake District, Snowdonia or the Scottish Highlands. Adventures are subsidised by Annington by up to 90% and courses can be 5 days, 7 days, 14 days, or 19 days.
Young people from military families that have experienced any of the following can apply.
Disruption to education, Frequent relocations, Loss or disruption to friendship groups due to relocations, Parent(s) on extended tours, Concerns around anxiety and mental wellbeing, Parental separation.
