Research co-lead for mental health project
Shift use design thinking to tackle social problems, taking a collective and collaborative approach.
As we’re sure you know, we’re facing a huge mental health crisis across the world. As a young person, you and those you know are likely to be particularly affected by these challenges over the course of your life.
Science and mental health research has a big part to play in finding new and better approaches, but often this research is being done without meaningful involvement from people like you. This means there’s a risk that the work being done will struggle to make a difference in real peoples’ lives.
As a step towards ensuring more young people are involved in mental health research, we are running a six-month project for Wellcome and UKRI to identify resources and forms of support that can help the research community to better involve young people in their work.
