Join the British Youth Council’s Votes at 16 launch!
The British Youth Council has been campaigning on Votes at 16 for since 1998. In 2014 or 2015, members voted to keep it as a priority indefinitely. In the last 5 years the campaign has made significant progress – it has become law in Wales and Scotland (for local and Assembly/Scottish Parliament election) it became Labour Party Policy, there have been 3 Private Member bill debates, a Cross Party APPG was established and produced a report, senior Conservative MPs declared their support – the British Youth Council has led and supported these achievements.
