We all get anxious, worried, stressed, upset and frustrated. Some more than others such as someone who has a disability, mental problems or learning difficulties. For these people life is even harder so they may experience more of these unpleasant thoughts and feelings.
But there are different ways to turn these negative storm of emotions into a rainbow of positivity.
It is important to remember that different methods of relieving stress and one that works for one person does not always work for another. So what can you do to relieve stress and anxiety?. Well whatever activity is causing it, just take a break and go do something you enjoy.
That way you can come back with a better attitude, ready to carry on with an open mindset and your daunting task may now seem much more manageable.
Some of the activities I do to help me feel better are playing my favourite song and sing my heart out, or I will do some exercise such as going on the exercise bike or just do dances on the Nintendo Wii. I also play my favourite game, chat and laugh on the phone with my best friend or I watch something that makes me laugh.
So next time there is a knot of negative feelings in your stomach, take a break, go do something to get your endorphins working. Just find what works for you and if you have to, find a different way of doing it. Then that is great because if we were all the same then life would be boring. So go seize the day, take the world in your stride. And who knows what wonderful things you will do today? Perhaps you will change the world for the better. You will never know unless you try, and sometimes the one thing that stops us from doing what we want is when we give into our nerves.
